Mifegest (mifepristone 200mg) is primarily used in combination with misoprostol to medically terminate intrauterine pregnancies up to 70 days (10 weeks) gestation. It works by blocking progesterone, a hormone necessary for pregnancy continuation. It is also used off-label for miscarriage management and treating hyperglycemia in Cushing’s syndrome.
